Mitch is the passionate host of the popular Scrumbags Rugby podcast, where they delve into the latest matches, player insights, news and all things rugby union. With a rich background as a former player, Mitch brings firsthand experience and in-depth analysis to every episode. When he's not behind the microphone, you can find Mitch on the field, coaching the next generation of Subbies players. His love for the sport is unparalleled, and he is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with fans and players alike.

Outside of rugby Mitch is a Disability Support Manager and enjoys spending time with his wife and son.

After narrowly missing the cut as an age-grade prospect due to poor fitness, worse skills and overall ineptitude, Lachie turned his rugby focus to the press box.

Since 2015, he's written for Fairfax (now Nine), Newscorp, SANZAAR and now works full-time covering all levels of the game for rugby.com.au and RA.

Outside of the rugby sphere, Lachie keeps sane with a strict routine of hot girl walks, Italian lessons, a few good books, and the company of his wife Nellie and greyhound Skye.

I'm a regular guy who wanted an Australian rugby podcast that was both insightful AND family friendly. It turns out this is harder to find than you'd think. I called my mate Mitch, asked him if he wanted to chat rugby on a weekly basis. He said YES!

That's how Pick and Drive Rugby was born.
